Uniting community and thriving through

Battle Canada’s mission is to be the best outdoor cultural sports and music festival to serve the diverse cultural mosaic that is Canada, and to provide spaces to honour its many diverse ethnic communities. Our #Battle4Cause is in support of SickKids Foundation and Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. We seek to positively impact those in need through a celebratory marriage of sports and the arts.

Over the past 3 weeks, all of our lives were dramatically changed as result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our Battle Canada Launch which was to take place on March 20, was suspended to protect the health and safety of all attendees. To continue our efforts to reach our goal of building community during this challenging time, we are providing an outlet for everyone to engage in #BattleLiveEvents that will be broadcast LIVE and through our virtual channels. We will have performers, influencers, and special guests share their talents LIVE with our viewers. Our events will be hosted by our very own Battle Canada VP of Marketing, Rechie Valdez (@rechie.valdez).

Viewers will have an opportunity to watch from the comfort of their own homes, gain inspiration, learn, and connect on a regular basis. Our #BattleLiveEvents are FREE and viewers can register in advance. They will be provided with all of the information to join in and watch the various Battle Canada Live Events that we have scheduled. Our events will take place online on Wednesdays at 7PM EST, as per the schedule. Viewers can attend one or all of the events.

In addition, we are organizing a digital live cooking segment entitled #Cook4Cause online on Saturdays at 4PM EST. Prominent Chefs will be required to complete the cooking challenge requirement which is to create a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that families can make from home for $30 and under. Viewers can share their process or final dishes by using our hashtag #Cook4Cause

Born and raised in the city of Montreal, Canadian producer/DJ Lunice has always been a disciple of hip hop. Crafting his early education listening to masters like Dilla, Madlib, & 9th Wonder, his outlook completely changed when he got his first break DJing legendary parties in the then-budding Montreal Bass scene, circa 2007-2008. Experimenting with electro synth sounds layered over pounding bass and drums, he soon developed a sonic aesthetic that kept the spirit of rap music while remaining as potent on the dance floor as anything else.
