Located in Markham, Ontario, our state-of-the-art basketball facility features 2 Full Basketball Courts and 4 Half-Courts. Inside our facility you will find our SMC Academy Training Center, CRN Shop, Crane Grooming Barbershop, & Refreshment area. 

SMC Academy & Athletics operates under the guiding principles of education, health, wellness and growth. Under these principles, their program will guide young athletes to achieve positive social change, instil growth, self-confidence, and work ethic to create opportunities for personal achievement. Their goals are to develop the intangibles that will provide each young athlete the knowledge, motivation, and passion to do what is necessary to maximize their potential on and off the court.

My name is Jasmine James! I am a former Division 1 athlete and FIBA pro basketball player. Basketball has been a big part of my life and with it I have been able to travel the world and connect with amazing people. Recently I have started my own training program HOOP ADDICTS and have partnered with SMC Academy! Excited to give back, teach and learn from those around me!

Phu is a Toronto native and has over 7+ years of experience working within the Non-Profit sector. He specializes in facilitating community engagement, while fostering connections with the community and its partners. Phu achieved a Bachelor’s of Social Work Degree at Ryerson University with the focus on building inclusivity, collaboration, and community empowerment. Phu is a community advocate, an educator and a carries a strong presence in the Educational sector. At Battle Canada, Phu provides administrative support while also scheduling meetings, recording minutes, coordinating site plans and connecting with partnering organizations & various sponsors.
